We are pleased to share that CWT Recreation Commission has been selected by @CTJumpstart to receive an operational grant from their Sport Relief Fund.
The fund helps community sport organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids. This grant will go a long way towards helping us to prepare our arena for the 2020-2021 skating season. This funding will ensure that we can still provide programs for kids and the members of our community as well as our surrounding communities. We plan to use the funding to prepare our arena to meet the Covid-19 guidelines as outlined by our provincial health department. This will ensure that our user groups and the general public will be entering a facility that will do its best to meet health and safety standards.

Covid-19 Signage placed in all areas of the arena. Includes social distancing signage.
Disinfectant sprayers for dressing rooms and spectator stands.

Cubicles for mask and personal belonging storage. This will be cleaned after each use.
Lysol disinfectants, caution tape, masks and gloves.

Additional rubber matting to be used for putting on skates and avoiding dressing room congestion.
Hand sanitizer to be used on arena entry.

Additional, funds from this grant will be used to help hiring extra cleaning staff and to offset lost revenue due to fundraising and rental restrictions.
